How to get to Normandy?
We recommend, if possible, to come by car as everything is taking place in the countryside. However, if you don’t have a car, please let us know so we can arrange something for you. Hopefully we will be able to find other people with space in their cars.

From Paris
If you are arriving from further afield, the best place to fly to is Paris. See below for how to get to Normandy from there. As suggested above, renting a car from Paris would be the most convenient, however if this is not possible see the possible options below.
By train
If you need to go to your accommodation first, take the train to Bernay or Lisieux (depending where your accommodation is), from the Gare Saint Lazare
If you are going to the ceremony location first, take the train to Argentan from the Gare Montparnasse Vaugirard

By car
To the accommodation first: take the A13 (direction Caen) then A28 (direction Le Mans, Bordeaux) and exit at Orbec
To the church:
Motorway (Tolls): Take the A13 then A28, the A88 to Argentan
National road (much cheaper – free - but slightly slower): take the N12 via Dreux and L’Aigle to Argentan
From England
Flying
There is a direct flight from London Southend to Caen Carpiquet several times a week with FlyBe. Flight is 1 hour. Caen is around 1 hour from both the church and wedding venue.

By train
Take the Eurostar to Paris Gare du Nord, then:
If you need to go to your accommodation first, change to Gare Saint Lazare (1 stop on the RER E) and take the train to Bernay or Lisieux (depending where your accommodation is)
If you are going to the ceremony location first, change to Gare Montparnasse Vaugirard (Metro line 4) and take the train to Argentan.

By car
To Dover: you can either take the tunnel or the ferry to Calais then drive down to Normandy via the A16 then A28, your exit will depend on your accommodation location, but it will most likely be Orbec. If you go directly to the ceremony location, keep on going and then take the A88 to Argentan
Ferry Portsmouth to Ouistreham/Caen. From there, you’re about 1 hour 15 min from the reception venue, and 1 hour from the church (Brittany-ferries.co.uk).
Ferry Poole to Cherbourg. From there, you are about 2,5 hours from the reception venue, and 2 hours from the church (Brittany-ferries.co.uk).
From the Netherlands
By train
Take the Thalys to Paris Gare du Nord, then:

By car
From Amsterdam, take the road down to Antwerp, Gent, Lille, Amiens, Rouen to end up on the A28 where you’ll exit at Orbec or Argentan (via the A88) depending on where you will be heading to.
From Ireland
You can take the ferry from either Cork or Rosslare. The Rosslare ferry takes slightly longer but takes you to Cherbourg which is closer to the wedding venue in France. The ferry from Cork will require you to double the amount of driving when you get to France.
